The International Symposium on Business, Economics and Financial Applications will be held in , Kefalonia Island, Greece on Jun 1st, 2012.

ISBEFA is jointly organized by the Department of Business Administration, Technological Educational Institute of Ionian Islands, the Department of Economic and Regional Development, University of Central Greece, the Department of Business Administration, Democritus University of Thrace, the Business School, State University of New York at New Paltz, NY, USA and the Portsmouth Business School/Department of Economics, University of Portsmouth, UK.

The 1st ISBEFA will be hosted by the Department of Public Relations and Communication, Technological Educational Institute of Ionian Islands in Argostoli.

With ISBEFA we initiate a series of symposia on business, economics and finance. The aim is to bring together researchers working in all aspects of these subjects (both on the theoretical and experimental sides). Participants may present their research either as 15-minute papers or within the context of virtual presentations. Selected best papers from the conference proceedings will be awarded and will be recommended for publication to specific journals/special issues.

The objective of the 2012 ISBEFA, the 1st of the series, is to provide an interdisciplinary forum for presentations of our current state of knowledge, as well as in motivating new research and applications within the variety of disciplines related to business, economics and financial applications. Particular attention will be given to the following theme areas, however it should be stressed that a broad range of submissions are encouraged and are NOT restricted just to the following areas:
